Line Item Veto

This definition is provided to us by Wikipedia.
"In government, the line-item veto is the power of an executive to veto parts of a bill, usually budget appropriations. This enables an executive to nullify specific provisions of a bill, rather than only being able to approve or veto a bill in its entirety."

This is an interesting idea. This would easily speed up many of the laws getting through, but frankly it goes completely against our consitution. Apparently in 1998, Judge Thomas F. Hogan said so.
I wonder if there might have been another reason besides abortion laws for Judge Alito to get in?
